Yellowdot Christmas Cup 2015

Now in its 17th year, this end of season extravaganza saw 12 golfers brave the elements at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club. With the famous trophy at stake for the individual winner, there were team prizes and plenty of other ‘bits’ up for grabs.

With conditions making every hole a challenge, Chris scored an impressive 38 points off his handicap of 10. Runner-up Joss Davidge managing a very respectable 36 points. The team prize went to Chris, Mark Sykes and Geoff Young, and the Champagne Moment to Kim Syrett. On the short twelfth, Kim somehow managed to land in a small fenced off ‘GUR’ zone (twice), hit one shot that ended up behind him, scuttle one along the ground between the wheels of his trolley, rescue things with a delicate chip shot to a few inches, only then to miss the tap-in putt – comedy gold for his playing partners…

Thank you to all who participated, especially Geoff Snell who, whilst not fully fit after a recent op, arrived to serve mulled wine and mince pies on the tee – nice one Geoff!
