The brief was to create a campaign which would raise awareness of the breadth of what OS does, and its consequent importance to the nation.
Hence “We’d be lOSt without Ordnance Survey” strapline, and a highly original idea of taking the OS story to the “chattering masses” at festivals where they gather for intellectual stimulation in a laid-back (hence receptive) environment.
And lo, the giant interactive quiz was born, and they did flock unto it, and queues did form, a rare sight indeed for a corporate information tent.
